Congratulations on starting your Artsmark journey. Curious Minds is delighted to be able to support you through the process of gaining the Artsmark Award.

Artsmark Development Training

The Development Training session is a practical immersive session for a Senior Leader (ideally the Head) and the arts lead to work alongside other schools and the Artsmark trainer to explore and start to strategically plan your Artsmark Journey linked to your School Improvement Plan. On the day you will begin to write your Statement of Commitment, which will gain you Artsmark status.

This Development Training session will be taking place online. The format for this online version of your Development Training will include the following:

1.) You will work through Artsmark activities ahead of the online session using the Curious Minds’ Artsmark Remote Working Booklet and presentation.

2.) You will attend a compulsory 2 ½ hour session, which will take place online via Zoom. The facilitator will go through the work you and your school team have carried out on pre-session activities in the Curious Minds’ workbook. Our facilitators will also support you to move forwards with your school’s Statement of Commitment.

3.) Following the Development Training session, we will contact you with information about your next steps and helpful resources to support you throughout your Artsmark journey.

It is important for our facilitators to have valuable conversations with settings attending the online Development Training session. Due to the nature of the video conference platform, we have limited the number of schools attending any online session to a maximum of 10.

Please note: As this is the start of strategic plan development for your whole schools Artsmark journey, Arts Council England and Curious Minds ask that the Head or a member of the SMT attend the Development Training. It will involve making decisions that cannot usually be made by the Arts co-ordinator, such as identifying priorities linked to your SIP, partnership development, as well as allocating resources and staff CPD and whole staff meeting time.

Once you have reserved your places, you should receive an Eventbrite confirmation email. A member of the Curious Minds team will be in touch a few days before your event to provide you further information for your session and the Zoom link to join.
