ARTSOUP: AUTUMN EXHIBITIONS
5 weeks from 6 Oct - 10 Nov (with 27 Oct off for Half Term)
@ Greenwich West Community and Arts Centre
Do you like looking at art, but sometimes wonder what it’s all about? An interactive look at 5 top art exhibitions on show this Autumn, offering a rich insight into the artists behind the artworks, their colourful lives and the weird and wonderful ways they work. A friendly, informative and lively course, where everyone is welcome and everyone’s opinion counts.
Over the 5 weeks, we’ll focus on five different exhibitions that can be seen in and around London, covering an eclectic range of styles, cultures, time periods and artistic forms, some known, some overlooked by the history books. Together we’ll interpret and decipher key works and curatorial perspectives, helping students to develop knowledge and a critical approach. Time will be spent looking at the broader context of each exhibition, and expanding on the themes explored.
