A talk, conversation and demonstration concerning language, consciousness, magick and romance. A proclamation about creating poetic experiences.
Over the past seven years, in Covent Garden, in Camden, in St Brides, around the circumference of the City of London, and in a field in Devon, Thomas and his accomplices have been staging single-moment poetic Happenings. Alongside these, Thomas has been commissioned to write work for actor Sir Simon Rusell Beale to perform; for the British Library to display on their walls; and for the Henry Moore Foundation to sell in their shop next to work by their sculptor founder. The line from one of Thomas’s pieces for London Fire Brigade above Shoreditch Fire Station, ‘Love is the running towards’, is photographed daily and has featured in Lena Dunham’s recent Netflix series. Alongside all this, Thomas has been publishing and gifting (in the Blakean-tradition) thousands of limited-edition poetry books across the world.
In this talk and performance, Thomas will discuss language and consciousness, the occult influences on his work, beauty & wonder & heart, the bizarre synchronicities that happen when writing, the abyss, planting the world’s largest faery ring, and the battles for reality that we’ve forgotten we’re in.
Thomas’ next poetic experience will take place in January 2026, deep within the Bank of England. He will be revealing secret details about this event during the talk.

This event is hosted by ArtULTRA, an organisation dedicated to championing emerging artists and pioneering projects that push boundaries. ArtULTRA was founded in 2021 by Alice Black, Trustee of the Royal Academy of Arts and former director of London’s Design Museum.
