Who can take part?

You need to be at least 18 years of age and be able to read and speak English fluently. Other than that there are no restrictions on who can take part!

What is the purpose of the study?

To find out how people respond to artworks in terms of appreciation, emotional evocation and interest.

What am I expected to do?

Participants will be asked to wear our eye-tracking glasses and look at 18 Hunterian artworks and their corresponding labels. You will be asked to answer a few general questions about yourself and to complete a survey to get an idea of your familiarity with artists and movements from art history.

Can I withdraw from participation?

Yes! You can withdraw at anytime.

All information you provide about yourself, as well as the actual research data will remain completely anonymous.

Who is conducting the research?

The study is conducted by Dr. Christoph Scheepers and supported by Hunterian staff.

Artwork Appreciation Research Study

We can take two participants at a time for each time slot. Participants can book solo or in pairs and each participant will receive a £25 voucher for their time.
