A creative studio space for curious minds, free spirits, and young imaginations.Arty Farty: School is a unique series of workshops designed especially for home-educated children and those with additional learning needs - a space where every child is supported to create in a way that feels true to them.

Led by a professional artist, each session offers a hands-on, project-based journey into art-making. Children will explore inspiring materials, experiment with creative techniques, and learn how different artists and movements express ideas through colour, form, and storytelling.

Every workshop is gently adapted to meet the needs of each individual, celebrating different ways of thinking, learning, and creating. We focus not just on making art—but on confidence, curiosity, and the joy of creative discovery.

This Term’s Project: The Artist’s Book

Step into someone else’s shoes—or paws, or claws! In this magical project, children will imagine themselves as a creature with a completely different point of view.

What would the world look like through their eyes? What would they notice, feel, and explore?

Using photos, sketches, and words, we’ll record a creative journey through the studio—then transform it into a beautiful concertina artist’s book. Along the way, we’ll experiment with printmaking, drawing, mixed media, and learn from real artists who use books to tell visual stories.

By the end of the course, each child will have created something completely unique—a piece of art that tells a story only they could imagine.

Refund Policy

  • All workshop bookings are to be completed on Eventbrite (Don’t worry we’ve taken the fees away!).
  • Your place is not secured until the eventbrite booking is completed.
  • We will only process a refund if we have to cancel or postpone a workshop.
  • You will not be able to transfer your booking to another date.
  • You can transfer your place to a friend or family member who wishes to attend instead. Please email us and let us know if this is the case.
