Description

We welcome School and College staff from across the region to attend our annual IAG Conference. The event is open to both those who have worked in the education sector for several years, and those who are new to it.

We are delighted to have David Andrews, CEG Consultant and Trainer starting off the day. This will be followed by updates from both Student Finance England, and the UCAS Professional Development Team, as well as optional sessions providing updates and information from our faculties and support staff.

New for 2019 you will have the opportunity to get your questions answered by our 'Question Time panel' consisting of Student Services and Faculty staff.

Optional talks will include:

- Tour of the campus with our student ambassadors

Twilight Session - Professional Development for you

Based on feedback we are offering a Study Skills CPD session for teaching / support staff following our IAG conference. Our Study Skills steam has designed a bespoke session for staff wishing to enhance /refresh their academic skills tool kit to support students prepare for HE. The session is aimed at staff working / supporting 6th formers and will introduce you to what we expect from our students and how to get them academically ready. We will share hints and tips and practice some techniques to help prepare, and build your confidence to deliver a practical ‘Get ready for Uni’ session.

Registration & refreshments 4.00pm-4.30pm

Start of session: 4.30pm until 6.00pm

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Unfortunately we don't have any parking on site, but as we are based in the city centre, there a lots of local car parks and plenty of public transport options. Please visit our website to find out more.
