About this event

A Journey Through Breath, Rest, and Reflection

You are invited to soften into, and come home to, the sacred rhythm of natures true seasons — to release what no longer serves, and to replenish what quietly sustains.

Through gentle yet strengthening Qigong movement, along with other easy to learn practices such as breathwork, reflective-journalling and meditative stillness, this transformative wellness day will give you the opportunity to:

  • Balance your metal and water elements for seasonal and emotional harmony.
  • Cultivate softness, strength, and inner wisdom.
  • Feel more connected to your body, your breath, and your intuitive self.

............................................................

In the dance between letting go and going within, we meet the wisdom of two of the chinese five elements; metal and water.

Metal, the breath of autumn, offers the courage to let go. It teaches refinement and the beauty of empty space and asks us to consider what is of true value to us. Connected to the lungs and large intestine, it asks us to exhale — to trust the wisdom of release.

💧Water, the still mirror of winter, invites us inward. It holds the strength of quiet reflection and the power of leaning into rest. Linked with the kidneys and bladder, it whispers of restoring our essense, replenishing reserves and opening to the mysteries of the deep.

............................................................

Over the course of 6 hours you will:

  • Learn and practice some Five Elements Qigong (particularly focussing on the metal and water elements), along with breathing exercises and meridian self-massage.
  • Spend some time reflecting on and celebrating what is of value to you in life, and considering what might be useful to let go of in order to make space for new.
  • Learn how living more inline with the cycles of nature can set you up for a truely nourishing and replenishing autumn and winter.
  • Enjoy some deep relaxaction leaving you feeling refreshed and restored.

🕊️ Open to all! — no experience of Qigong or breathwork needed, just a willingness to arrive as you are and allow yourself to receive the gifts and learnings from this transformative and restorative day.

Organized by

Qigong (pronounced "chee gung", is a wonderful movement practice. It is a little like Tai Chi, though generally the movements are more flowing and less martial arts based. Its amazing for: - stress relief - joint mobility and flexibility - muscle strengthening - bringing harmony to breath and body - improved posture and blood circulation - general mind and body 'feel goods'!
