ASA Football Agent/Intermediary - Getting Started (Level 1)
Football Intermediary - Getting Started could be your first step onto a pathway that leads you into an exciting career as a Football Agent/Intermediary.
In April 2015, FIFA de-regulated Football Agent activity and gave Agents the new title of 'Football Intermediaries'. FIFA's changes effectively mean that there are no longer be any 'licensed' Football Agents and that there are no barriers to entry (like the FA Exam or the FIFA bond). As a result almost anyone can set themselves up as a Football Agent/Intermediary. Many will see this as an opportunity to break into an industry awash with money.
Taking place in a large function suite over looking the pitch at Broadhurst Park, the home of FC United of Manchester, the seminar will be led by: Tony Sharkey, Football Intermediary at Athelite Sports Agency (ASA). Tony, a successful Football Agent for over 14 years, will provide you with his own personal account of how he started in the business.
With insider knowledge and a wealth of experience, Tony will provide practical tips, advice and guidance to help get you started.
Plus guest speaker: Ryan McKnight. Football executive McKnight has worked with several football clubs including Wolves, Port Vale and Stockport as well as being the former editor of FC Business magazine. He will share his views on the Agent business from the Clubs perspective.
The seminar is suitable for: New Football Intermediaries, Close Relations/Friends of Players, ex Players or Players nearing retirement, Managers, Coaches, Scouts, Lawyers, Solicitors, Recruitment Professionals, Sports Journalists, and Degree Level Students or individuals thinking about a career in the Football Industry
