Freedom: Slaves No More
The Ascend Team would like to invite you to join them for a whole day of passionate worship, dynamic media, world class teaching along with an opportunity to fellowship and have some fun. This year will be the first Ascend Men's Day in the new C3 Centre and it is going to be EPIC!
|| Guest Speakers ||
Ben Cooley is passionate about bringing freedom and hope to modern day slaves. He is the CEO and co-founder of Hope for Justice. HFJ exists to end human trafficking and slavery in our generation. Hope for Justice is an organisation that C3 and Ascend Men are passionate about - sixteen of our Ascend Men recently completed the 3 Peaks Challenge and raised over £3500 for HFJ! - so we are counting down the days until we get to hear from Ben.
Katie Harrison, one of Tear Fund's keynote speakers, will be sharing about how we as Christians can effectively respond to the refugee crisis. "Katie Harrison brings insight into what is going on in the world today. She has seen first-hand some of the toughest situations Christians and others face: poverty, conflict and persecution. Yet she speaks of hope, purpose and a God who never lets go. When Katie speaks, the world gets bigger, but Jesus does too." (Rev. Richard England)
