Europe’s Largest Science Education CPD Conference

The ASE's annual conference returns to the University of Reading in january 2020 - tje most cost-effective, subject-specific CPD for all teachers of science - build the ASE Annual Conference into your School Development Plan!

  • Over 450 sessions are now timetabled and we expect approximately 2,500 delegates, to enable you to focus on your school’s priorities, develop your own subject knowledge and learn from other teachers.

How much does it cost to attend?

One day registration starts from only £112 and with a Saturday special from only £99. Book before 1st November 2019 to qualify for the cheapest Early Bird rates (invoices cannot be requested for these tickets; payment must be made at the time of booking).

Please note that registration will stay open for the duration of the conference but participants will need to collect a delegate badge from the registration desks upon arrival.

What's my membership number?

For member rates, you need to be an active member of the Association. Your new membership ID number can be found in the top righthand corner on your My Account page of the ASE website after logging in (the numbers issued from the old system that start with an M are no longer valid). If you're not yet a member and would like to get the best conference rates, you can join online or over the phone on 01707 283000.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. Children under the age of 18 are permitted into the exhibitions only when accompanied by a responsible adult. Unfortunately no other aspects of the conference can permit access to under 18s.

When will I receive my ticket/delegate badge

Delegate badges are emailed by ASE in December. They are not available from Eventbrite.

What are my transport and accommodation options for the event?

Rail (strongly recommended): Trains from London Paddington to Reading run approximately every 15-20 minutes, with the average journey time around 30 minutes. There are direct rail links to Reading station from many major cities. Upon arrival at Reading station, ASE stewards will assist in catching the bus to Whiteknights campus, which runs every 15 minutes.

Air: RailAir coaches run from Heathrow Airport directy to Reading station every 20 minutes and the journey time is approximately 45 minutes. There are trains to Reading from Gatwick Airport every hour; the journey takes about 75 minutes.

Road: There is very limited parking at Reading University but if driving is your preference, please use the sat nav postcode RG6 6UR.

Parking: Visitors to campus are requested to park in any of the pay & display car parks.

Hotels: Stay at a local hotel with preferential ASE conference rates. Delegates need to book directly with the hotels. Details will be published shortly.

What's the refund policy?

Cancellation of registration before 26 November 2019 will incur no cancellation charge (30 working days before the event). After this date no refunds can be made.

All delegates are advised that by registering for the conference they agree to abide by the conference terms and conditions.
