Learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused. This is an informal gathering of priamry and secondary teachers curious about science teaching and learning.

Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, ask important questions or simply sign up to take part in the round table workshops. Everyone is welcome to join in: teachers from all types of schools, teaching all subjects and age groups. This is a chance for science teachers to hear ideas from each other and be inspired by colleagues, along with a whole bucket load of networking to boot!

ASE Teach meets provide opportunites for teachers and student teachers to share their best practice. There will be presentation of 10, 7, 5 and 2 minutes and we invite all comers to make a brief presentation about something inspirig and interesting they have effectively used to promote good learning and teaching. Please contact me at gaynorsharp@ase.org.uk if you would like to present-with details of the content and the time slot you would like.

So far we have practical presentations on Practical Action (global ideas for STEM teaching), Matt introducing some tricks provoking critical thinking he uses in his science Science show, Tom from Meidcial Mavericks the human Guinea Pig and careers in medical fields,Catherine from Timstar doing electrostatic sausage and colorimetry, Tim Wilson from Code Clubs West Midlands has an offer, a person from Pearson publishing talking about:

Using important global issues as a context can enhance understanding in science and increase motivation of students, while providing an opportunity to have a deeper appreciation of those issues from which to make choices and decisions.

Sally Spicer is prenting on Cold Hands and Kirsty will be showing some interactive ideas, Sam H will be doing something practical, Dan Roberts will do a demo of Real world sensors for your ipad or tablet, Linda Atherton is doing some fun Christmas activities

There will be some interesting stands too- Medical Mavericks, ASE, RAEng, STEMtastic, The institute of Engineering Technology, Science Shows....

Hopefully this year there will not be a power cut!!

Look forward to seeing you there.
