Event description

Description

A rare opportunity to take part in a teachmeet at Woolsthorpe Manor, the childhood home of Isaac Newton. As well as sharing ideas with other teachers, you will get the chance to look around this popular science-related historical attraction and see the famous apple tree that gave Newton his inspiration.

Invitation to FREE Science Teachmeet to teachers of all phases and settings.

You can come and present a short item, or just come to listen, start a discussion and take away new ideas. You don't have to be an expert - we just want to hear from teachers who have an approach or an idea that they have used in class and found useful.

This is a good way to network, find new tested ideas and have fun. We welcome teachers at all career stages, everyone has something to offer and everyone has the opportunity to learn something new.

If you would like to present (share an idea) then we ask that you sign up for a presenter ticket - you will be asked for a brief outline of what you want to share (to make sure we get a balance of ideas) If you haven't decided yet, just say so and I'll be in touch closer to the event.

This teachmeet is sponsored by Data Harvest who offer all those who attend the chance to win a Bluetooth sensor. There will also be the usual free gift and raffle draw too for all who come to this event, as well as the ideas for teaching you take away.
