Join us for a workshop dedicated to 'GCSE Awarding in 2018 and Practical Science'

We are able to able to offer this event at a low cost due to the generosity of the host school in providing the venue and the organisers/presenters donating their time. Sarah Old, Senior Manager, Standards form Ofqual will be the keynote speaker, addressing delegates on the forthcoming first award of Combined Science, and available to answer questions about the new qualifications

Natalie Timoney, Head of Science at RMS, will share ideas from about how to embed and expand on the required//PAG/core practicals being usd at GCSE

David Paterson, Chemistry teacher at Aldenham School, will speak about his RSC-funded research project on Cognitive Load and Practical Work in the classroom

There will be a 30 minute teachmeet, where delegates can speak for 5 minutes about ideas, resources or teaching techniques they find useful in the classroom.

The workshop fee includes refreshments and pizza at around 6.30pm
