Providing access to the curriculum across the attainment range’ (aka from 1 to 9 in 60 minutes)- Ed Walsh

The new GCSE courses are being delivered to a wide range of students, who have a diverse range of learning needs. In some cases this might be access to Grades 1 & 2 and in others stretch and challenge. This workshop will focus on practical approaches to making the curriculum function well, including selecting appropriate material, modelling higher order thinking skills, producing extended responses and making assessment support the planning of teaching. Be prepared to participate, try various ideas out and gather approaches to use in your own lessons.
