Welcome to the Ashfield STEM Boost Workshop!

Date: 3-4 unique sessions from October 2025-February 2026

Location: The Summit Centre

Description: The Ashfield STEM Boost Project, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, is designed to increase the number of STEM jobs and long-term STEM careers available to Ashfield residents. To achieve this, we are equipping the key stakeholders who guide residents into employment with a stronger understanding of STEM pathways and opportunities.Are you a key stakeholder (Educator, DWP worker, VCSE practitioner or parent)? Are you an industry professional (STEM worker)? Use this form to participate in the program, over the course of October 2025-February 2026 you will attend a maximum of 4 sessions on either a wednesday/thursday evening (excluding school holidays) in a local venue in Ashfield.

Session content:

• building STEM awareness and local labour market
• Intro to engineering, CAD, automation, software, life & biological sciences, computer science & digital pathways.
• Resources and frameworks to conduct interventions with students and young adults to promote and guide them into STEM related work experience opportunities, further education and careers.
  Q&A sessions
• Q&A session with STEM experts, day in the life and additional tools
• 1-1 interventions with role play, feedback and outcome tracking
