Ashford ABCs – Breathing
Wed 3 May 2017, 12:00 – 17:00 BST
Good things come to those who wait... As promised, this is the second in the 'Ashford ABCs' series of CPD events, this time on the subject of breathing problems.
We are lucky to be joined by two specialist paramedics for this event. Dave McQuillan is a Paramedic Practitioner with South East Coast Ambulance Service and will be talking about breathing problems in primary care. Allan McHenry is a Lead Paramedic with Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance and will be taking us through time-critical breathing problems.
The afternoon will start by looking at common respiratory problems in primary care and how to conduct a comprehensive assessment. After a break, Allan will then discuss the relevant physiology and management of patients presenting with time-critical breathing problems.
We will then have a few group scenarios and a bit of a Q&A.
As always, everyone is welcome. The content will be aimed primarily at ambulance staff, but inevitably there will be some crossover that will be of relevance to ED staff.
Certificates and refreshments included (lunch is not...). Please remember to park off site.
