I hope you are enjoying your summer. As I write this the sun is out, the sky is a beautiful shade of blue and the house martins (not the band!) are fluttering outside the window. Looking ahead to more serious matters, here are details about our next round of HR breakfasts. As usual we shall be running these events across the region and you are welcome to attend whichever is most geographically convenient.

For those of you not familiar with the format, the breakfasts present a great opportunity to hear about a hot HR topic from our HR Consultants. Being a law firm we shall of course also update you with any employment law issues that are on the horizon. As always a light breakfast will be supplied and these events are free to attend.

The subject of holiday pay is one that we have many queries about. Using case studies our solicitors will take you through some of the common queries they receive and will aim to shed more light on this sometimes confusing topic.

The second half of the breakfast will look at Unconscious Bias, understanding what it is and practical tips on how to deal with it, especially in relation to recruitment.
