Event description

Description

Naoyuki Yoshino (CEO and Dean), Peter Morgan (Senior Consulting Economist), and Bihong Huang (Research Fellow) will be visiting Edinburgh on the 4th of July. They are all representatives from the Asian Development Bank Institute based in Tokyo. The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is an Asian think tank focused on identifying effective development strategies for Asia and the Pacific, and on providing support to ADB member countries in managing development challenges. They are ranked second among world government-affiliated Think Tanks. The main aim of their visit to the UK is to explore collaboration opportunities with universities and to share their most recent research works.

The roundtable will include three presentations from our visitors, as below, as well as a chance for UoE staff and students to discuss work at Edinburgh that is aligned to the ADBi themes and objectives.

• SME credit, by Naoyuki Yoshino
• Determinants and impacts of financial literacy and financial inclusion, by Peter Morgan
• Fintech prosperity and bank credit cost, by Bihong Huang
