A couple living in a remote nuclear base in 1960s China; a feminist from 1980s India; a Syrian in Germany – these are just some of the lives that our panel of award-winning short story writers have uncovered and chronicled.
Our illustrious panel, all with a series of writing prizes already under their belt, is Preti Taneja, Jonathan Tel and Mahesh Rao.
The trio will discuss how they found the characters in their stories, and whether they were based on actual lives of the past, real inspirations or merely figments of the imagination that they made incredibly convincing and compelling.
Join them for a night of readings and stories as we zoom in on forgotten people and provide insights into Asia past and present.
