Event description
LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day face-to-face workshop

About this Event

PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY OFFER THIS TRAINING FREE OF CHARGE TO INDIVIDUALS LIVING OR WORKING IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE

SPACES ARE STIRICTLY LIMITED TO TWO PER ORGANISATION ON EACH WORKSHOP TO ENSURE FAIRNESS TO ALL OUR COMMUNITY.

LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day face-to-face workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations in suicide first aid intervention.

ASIST teaches participants to recognise signs when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety.

No previous mental health or suicide prevention experience is necessary - anyone 16 or older can learn and use the ASIST model.

It is an interactive workshop so will require input from all delegates. There will also be some role play exercises to put what you have learnt into practice.

We deliver this workshop FREE OF CHARGE to the community of GLOUCESTERSHIRE.

TERMS OF BOOKING

Sunflowers incur a cost to run ASIST workshops including purchasing workbooks for each participant, hiring a venue etc. Sunflowers absorb these costs to ensure that the training is available to the whole community. As a small, local charity we are unable to pay for non-attendees.

By booking to attend this course you agree that:

1. You will attend BOTH DAYS of the two-day workshop.

2. We do not offer cancellation. Failure to attend or complete the workshop will result in a charge/invoice of £50 being incurred to cover some of the costs toward workbooks and running costs.

3. Places on our ASIST workshop are limited to two per organisation.

4. You will be required to complete a feedback form on completion of the workshop which will be delivered for quality monitoring to LivingWorks.

On completion, you will receive a certificate confirming completion of the ASIST workshop and number of professional development hours attended.
