The event is a key part of World Alzheimer's Month, a global campaign run by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding dementia.

The afternoon will be a chance to meet face-to-face with local support services , enjoy free light refreshments, and amplify the voices of people affected by dementia in a fully accessible and welcoming space.

With an estimated 1,887 people living with dementia in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Ask About Dementia is a vital step toward building a more understanding and supportive community for everyone.

Ask About Dementia is held in collaboration with Dementia Inclusive Greenwich, Greenwich Carers Centre, and South East London Mind. It is very kindly hosted by Royal Museums Greenwich.

Please note that there is no need to show your eventbrite ticket on the day.

Car Park

Limited pre-booked spaces are available and are payable via contactless payment at the car park entrance.There are 6 designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) within the car park. The nearest designated bay is 100 metres (0.08 miles) from the House entrance.

The route from the car park to the entrance is accessible to a wheelchair user. The car park is tarmac leading onto a gritted non-slip.There are no roads to cross once inside the car park. The car park does not have a height restriction barrier.

If you do not have a Blue Badge and wish to park on the weekends the price is £10. This can be paid online or at the booth in the car park.

The car park is in the open air on Park Row within the grounds of the museum, postcode SE10 9NF.

There is also the Park Row public car park across the road which is an option - however it only has two disabled spaces and you may need to pay:
