Description

Designers, have you got a burning question that you would like to ask an expert from the built environment but have not had the chance, time or scope? The BIID invites you to our fun, fast-paced and interactive afternoon of professional guidance encouraging best practice through communication, advice and solutions.

“How important is Professional Indemnity insurance for a practising designer?”

“How do I apply CDM 2015 on a Residential project?”

“How do I achieve transparency in my business strategy?”

WHAT TO EXPECT

In small groups, designers will get the chance to have 15 to 20 minutes with each expert, once the whistle blows, the groups will move on to the next expert. Experts to be announced shortly.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The regional Ask the Expert events are open to both BIID members and non-members, we ask attendees to confirm that they are a practicing professional interior designer. There is a limited allocation of student tickets available.

Ask the Expert hits the road with one London event and four regional events taking place in 2020 with dates to be announced in the new year:

London: Havwoods, Clerkenwell, Tuesday 19th May 2020
England North East: Lapicida, Harrogate, TBC
Wales: Woodpecker Flooring, Caerphilly, Tuesday 7th July 2020
Scotland South: John Lewis for Business, Edinburgh, November 2020

  1. If you wish to cancel your booking to a paid event, please send a refund request via Eventbrite. A full refund will be issued if your refund request is received 10 working days prior to the day of the event.
  2. The full delegate fee will be forfeited for non-attendance (for any reason) without prior notice or cancellation of your booking.
  3. A replacement delegate nominated and confirmed by you is permitted but must be confirmed in writing to info@BIID.org.uk prior to the event.
  4. If you wish to cancel your booking to a free event, please do so via Eventbrite as soon as possible so that your ticket can be reallocated.
  5. The BIID reserves the right to make changes to the programme.
  6. The BIID reserves the right to cancel the event if unavoidable circumstances arise.
  7. This event will be photographed and videoed. Attendance constitutes consent for these images/videos to be used, by the BIID and its partners, for promotional purposes.

  9. Your name may be shared with the venue.
