The Alumni Office is hosting two "Ask Us Anything" online sessions for new students to ask for advice from alumni and current students during Welcome to King's 2022.

Join us as alumni and recurring students share tips and advice to start your journey at King's!

Have you got a question about how to navigate the campus? A question about which societies to join? Any other questions that'll make your start at King's easier?

Ask your questions to your community! They're here to respond to anything you have in mind and share their lived experience with you.

Are you a returning student or a King's alumni?

Help freshers navigate university life at King’s! Share your experience with freshers and give them tips about how to start their journey at King’s. It will also be an opportunity for you to connect with members of your global alumni community and to widen your network!

This series of events will run on King's Connect on:

Monday 12 September from 14:00 to 17:00 BST

Wednesday 14 September from 10:00 to 13:00 BST

Once you register here on Eventbrite, you will also need to ensure that you have registered for the King's Connect platform. You will then be added to the Ask Us Anything group on King's Connect. King’s Connect is the gateway to your global King’s community and a whole host of benefits, professional development opportunities and exclusive discounts.

On the day, login to King's Connect, navigate to the correct group and participate live!

FAQs

What kinds of questions will be covered?

Sessions will be focused on general questions around the student experience on each campus. We will not cover any course-specific questions, but you are welcome to send private messages through the platform to students and alumni who have experience on your course. We will also not cover any administrative questions and you should contact your course administrator or student services with these queries.

How will the session be run?

At the specified day and time you will login to King's Connect and join the group. There, you can introduce yourself watch the feed to see what questions are being discussed. If you are there to offer advice, make sure you refresh the feed to see questions as they come in post your answer as a reply. If you are there for advice, post your questions in the group feed and then refresh to see the answers as they come in. You are also welcome to send private messages through the platform if you have more detailed or specific questions. There will be an option to ask questions anonymously as well.

I've registered for both sessions, does that mean I will need to use different groups on King's Connect?

There will be two groups for each session. If you have registered for the two sessions, you will be added to both groups.
