Description

This course is intended to equip government communicators with the skills and knowledge they need to make best use of creative and low cost communications techniques within campaigns. It introduces the newly launched Campaigns Framework, and identifies key steps in designing a low-cost campaigns strategy.

Audience

This course is likely to be most useful for communicators at who have responsibility for planning, designing and implementing media and communications campaigns.

How will I benefit?

By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Develop a strategic approach to delivering communications campaigns at low- cost
  • Identify which policy issues are best suited to a low-cost communications approach
  • Understand and consider the range of creative and innovative low-cost communications tools and techniques available
  • Define the risks and benefits associated with a low-cost approach
  • Understand how to evaluate low-cost communications campaigns

About the course leader

Maud Davis is an experienced PR consultant and has delivered communications and PR campaigns across all sectors, including working with voluntary sector organisations and small enterprises to develop low-cost communications strategies. She is an experienced communications trainer and a fellow of the CIPR.

Registration is at 9.15am for a 9.30 Start. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply hot beverages or lunch during the course. Please feel free to bring your own, or you can visit the on-site café or local shops and cafés.

Due to the limited number of available places we suggest that you ensure you will be able to attend prior to booking places on the Aspire courses.

Please give GCS at least 2 days notice if you need to cancel. Late cancellations / absentees will be monitored and your Director of Comms will be informed. This may affect future allocation of places to departments.
