There are many environmental benefits to reducing single use plastics. Over recent years the issue of plastics has become a big topic and the detriment to the environment both on land and in the sea is undeniable. A Greater Manchester-wide 5 year plan has been produced with initial actions we must take. One of the actions around sustainable consumption and production is an aim to eradicate avoidable single use plastics on the public estate. We therefore have a responsibility to look at ways in which we can reduce the amounts of single use plastics coming from our operations. Can we therefore ask you to bring your own cup or thermos if you would like a hot drink during the training session please? We do have a few spare mugs available if you happen to forget your own but please ensure that you do wash and put away anything you use. Thanks for supporting this important initiative!
