The Evelina Psychological Professionals team is hosting an Open Evening for anyone such as 6th form or undergraduate students who are interested in finding out more about the work, training routes and experiences of practitioner psychologist and aligned professionals currently working in acute paediatric healthcare settings.
This three-hour event will be an opportunity to virtually meet the friendly practitioner psychologists from a range of training backgrounds (including Clinical, Counselling, Educational, Neuropsychological and Health) working in the Evelina London Children's Hospital at both the St Thomas’ Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital. We will tell you more about the many and different aspects of our roles as psychologists to give you a flavour of our day to day work.
We will also tell you about some of the different training routes we have taken to work in this profession, including ‘getting started’ in gaining experience and some ‘top tips ‘ for doing this, and will answer any questions you may have about working as a psychologist in a healthcare setting.
At Evelina we value and understand the importance of diversity, inclusion and equality. To keep the event as accessible as possible we are offering a limited number of free spaces, for those in need of financial assistance. If this applies to you, please contact GSTT.EvelinaEducation1@nhs.net, applications for will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Please note that this event is being recorded and the recording will be shared via email after the event. We would like to make you aware participants’ names may be visible in this recording.
