Standalone Module Information

Advanced History Taking and Assessment (20 credits)

A practice-focused Level 7 module designed to develop advanced history-taking and physical and psychosocial assessment skills. Students enhance critical thinking, clinical analysis, and professional communication within multidisciplinary teams.

Assessing and Managing Minor Illnesses (20 credits)

This Level 7 module supports registered healthcare professionals to critically assess and manage minor illness using evidence-based approaches. Students strengthen diagnostic reasoning, clinical decision-making, and safe patient management in practice.

Participants must have access to an appropriate clinical environment, a practice supervisor, and explicit managerial support.


In just 60 minutes, you’ll:

  • Gain a clear overview of the module aims, content, and learning outcomes
  • Explore how the modules align with the NHS EP Framework and a wide range of primary care and urgent care roles
