Assessing Mathematics in Key Stage 1

This event is designed to provide an opportunity for Assessment Leaders, Maths Subject Leaders and Key Stage 1 teachers to collaborate on designing assessment systems for young children in Mathematics. With a particular emphasis on year 1 students, the group will work to explore styles of assessment that are appropriate for young children whilst providing useful information to schools.

Anyone with an interest is invited to attend, with each Bosco school encouraged to participate. Ideally those with responsibility for managing assessment within schools will be represented.

The intended outcome for the day is to create a schedule of assessments for Y1 and potentially Y2 which are age appropriate and provide good insight into the skills and barriers for chidlren in these year groups.
