Aims of the course:
The course aims to examine how to carry out informal screening of a learner as part of the new Code of Practice to inform the Graduated Approach to teaching through the Assess, Plan, Do, Review model.
Teachers in primary or secondary schools, specialist teachers, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (SENCos) and teaching assistants
This Course will address the essential skills and practice to:
Enable you to effectively screen individuals or groups of learners to establish their strengths and weaknesses in terms of their needs and provide guidance on implementing this.
You will leave with:
A good working knowledge of informal screening techniques which can be used with learners to facilitate the Graduate Approach to teaching.
