Assist Book Club is not for your usual fictional reads, this book club is designed for women who want to be inspired, who want to learn how to develop personally and in business.
We will be reading books on personal development, business development, the odd meaty biography, historical storytelling, and anything we think will be interesting, positive learning and inspirational.
There are so many fabulous authors out there, whose mission is to inspire others, teach and share their knowledge and experience. We want the Assist Book Club to be about sharing the ideas, learning and adopt the ‘take aways’ from our chosen books. We want to bring these books to life by analysing, discussing and integrating them into our own lives, personally and professionally. To then talk about what worked and what didn’t.

We have already read many best-sellers, along with some hard-hitting topics, and storytelling that has been both empowering and difficult. Also, on our bookshelf, we have many self-help books that have proved life changing and practical. Topped off with a few that sit in the historical and feminist genres.
We plan to get together once every 3 months, therefore the reading is achievable for busy people, 4 books a year is less challenging! An in-person hour over a cuppa we can share our thoughts on the book, what we have learnt and discuss our viewpoints. It can be eye-opening to discover how others interpret the read. We do allow time for us to choose our next read by the group.
The small donation will go into the Assist pot to allow us to keep functioning into the future. What you will get in return is this valued space for you and other Assist readers to grow and socialise, along with a drink to the value of £5 we will cover for you during the Book Club hour.
