Assist's Annual International Women's Day event

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2026

Be a part of our annual celebration, as always we join the global campaign for International Women's Day of which we have done for the last decade+.

This event is free to attend as we fully embrace the IWD 2026 campaign theme. Registration is most definitely required, this is a popular event therefore please ensure you can make the date before you sign-up, you will be taking the ticket that is much in demand from another Assist'er.

We hit the serious discussion head on and as always we add a sprinkle of performance with creative artists as we elevate these important debates with impact.

What do we have in store for you on the 2nd March 2026...

  • We open the doors at 12 noon and you can grab a cuppa with some like-minded people as we consider our shared interest in diversity, inclusion and gender balance.
  • As the formal proceedings begin at 12.30, you will hear from an inspirational panel who have successfully navigated challenges, overcome hurdles and are willing to be open and honestly story tell. The panel will reflect and forward thinking as we tackle the IWD26 theme.
  • We love spoken word, as always we can't wait to introduce you to an impressive creative adding her powerful poetry.
  • The empowering and motivational words continue, discover our Assist Goodwill Ambassadors work across 25/26.
  • Drum roll, the announcement for the incoming Assist Goodwill Ambassador.
  • You will enjoy a perfect close as always with more talent.

We would like to invite you to stay a little after the formal proceedings that end at 1.30pm for more networking, chance to find out ‘what’s on’ with Assist in the near future and get involved, leave your own little legacy and thoughtful words in our Teesside Archives and be a part of the IWD Theme conversation.
