Congratulations on getting to this stage of your Associate Mentor journey!
Your assessment is not a formal interview, and you do not need to prepare anything in advance. We will be looking for the following things:
∙ Reliability – e.g. arriving on time to the session you have signed up to
∙ Professionalism – e.g. following the NCS Code of Conduct and acting as though you are in a place of work (not with your mates!)
∙ Positivity – e.g. trying your best in all the activities
You must complete an assessment to be an Associate Mentor. If you are unable to attend the option then please let us know – we’ll do our best to find another assessment for you to attend, but please be aware that this may not be possible. Don’t worry as there will still be a chance to be an Associate Mentor in Summer.
What happens at the assessment event?
Assessment lasts about three hours in total (don't worry - there will be breaks!), and give you an opportunity to*:
∙•Get to know other applicants and staff in your area
∙•Learn about the Associate Mentor role and receive training in volunteering on NCS
∙•Ask questions about the role and get answers!
*Please note: If you attended the session at Ignite please come 45 mins later so you do not have to hear the material twice!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch!
See you there!
The London North & South West Grad Team.
