The Astronomical Society of Glasgow is pleased to invite you to our Open Day at the Eric Tomney Memorial Observatory in Mugdock Country Park.
The day will begin with solar observing from 2pm, followed by open activities until 6 pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the observatory, learn about our telescopes, and meet members of the Society. The event is suitable for all ages and is an excellent introduction to astronomy for beginners.
If skies are clear, the day will continue into the evening with night-time observing.
This is a free, public event and everyone is welcome. Donations to support the work of the Society are appreciated.
Location: The Eric Tomney Memorial Observatory is based within Mugdock Country Park, Milngavie. Directions and travel information can be found on the Mugdock Country Park website:

The observatory is near the Mugdock Park Visitor Centre which has a cafe, shop and toilets.
