About this Event

‘Astronomy from the Moon: studying the universe from our nearest neighbour’ is a talk delivered by Professor Martin Hendry of Glasgow University, joining us again at Abriachan Forest for a Star Stories special event.

In additional to Martin's indoor talk on past and future Moon missions we'll have outdoor observing (weather permitting) of the full Moon via binoculars or video telescope with guiding from outreach astronomer Stephen Mackintosh.

Martin Hendry is professor of Gravitational Astrophysics and Cosmology at Glasgow University. His credentials span inspirational outreach and cutting edge research, not least in the exciting field of gravitational waves.
