Welcome to Astronomy!

Date: 16th December 2025 PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE

Time: 10am - 2pm

Location: Fryston Community Centre

Ages: This session is aimed at children 5-12 years old. Feel free to bring your child along if they fall outside of this but you still think they would enjoy it.

Why do we have day and night, summer and winter, or different stars in the sky each season? In this fun, hands-on course, children will explore how Earth spins and travels around the Sun, learn about solstices and equinoxes, and find out how constellations shift through the year. Through simple experiments and games, they’ll see how our planet’s motion makes the sky come alive!
