Event description

Description

There remains a critical gap in our knowledge: we still know very little about what happened in the first seconds after the Big Bang.

This talk with Dan Hooper explores extraordinary and perplexing questions that scientists are asking about the origin and nature of our world.

How can we re-create the Big Bang? How and why does our universe contain so much matter and so little antimatter? Are we about to discover how dark matter was formed during our universe’s first moments? Are we lifting the veil on the era of cosmic inflation, which led to the creation of our world as we know it?

Discounted tickets are available to Members and Patrons of the Ri. Find out more about how to join our community.

The doors will open at approximately 6.30pm, with a prompt start at 7.00pm.

By booking to attend events at the Royal Institution, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Ri's event terms and conditions.
