About this event

At The Rainbow's End

As part of Safeguarding Adults Week 2025, Camden Adult Social Care are hosting a performance of At The Rainbow's End.

This script-in-hand performance by Clare Summerskill is presented by members of Artemis Theatre Company. The play is based entirely on interviews with older LGBT people who have experienced homophobia and transphobia in care settings or in their own home when receiving care.

Although some of the content of this piece makes for somewhat uncomfortable listening, this work is intended to raise awareness of forms of discrimination that LGBTQ+ people fear and have experienced, and it shines a light on the importance of understanding the specific challenges faced by older LGBTQ+ people.

After a 50 minute performance the audience will be invited to participate in a Q&A with Clare and two panel members: Dr Adi Cooper and Chris Lehmann.
