SciArt Intervention: 22nd October - 26th November Book your place today for the ATA SciArt Intervention in collaboration with Tate Gallery and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM). This project will be launched on Saturday 22nd October 2016, 10.00am-4.00pm at Liverpool Tate and conclude on Saturday 26th November with a pop-up exhibition in the receptions room at Tate. In addition, there are opportunities for sites visits to LSTM to investigate the archive and meet with researchers on the 3rd and 10th November, 5-7pm. The archive is restricted to six visitors at any one time so Artist Teachers will sign up for one of the hourly slots (5-6pm and 6-7pm). You will have unlimited access to on-line resources.
Dr Ellie Wright and the collection's archivist will give a presentation at the project launch and offer research support and facilitate access to other site-specific resources.
This Continuing Professional Development project is supported by Curious Minds, Liverpool John Moores University and endorsed by the National Society for the Education of Art and Design. The Artist Teacher Associates are committed to providing the highest standard of subject CPD for artist and arts educators across the sector. This is the first of an exciting series of site interventions working with cultural organisations in the North West in 2016 and 2017.
The opportunity to produce an individual publication with forward by a curator of note will be discussed at the launch event.
