Atlantaid Event: How to Use Twitter Professionally
Tuesday, 12 November 2013 from 18:30 to 21:30 (EST)
Altanta international development professionals, join us for November's event! We'll meet at Hookah Cru again, but this time we're shaking things up a bit. This event you'll learn how to use Twitter professionally. We'll give you the basics of setting up an account and learning the lingo (no, it is not called "twittering"). We'll show you how to use it in your job search. We'll show you how to use it for networking. We'll give a start on using it to keep up on the latest blogs and news. And we'll do it all in twenty minutes so you still have time for mingling. So come learn about Twitter and meet others – practitioners, academics, techies, entrepreneurs, students and enthusiasts – working in your field. You can pick their brain about what they’re working on over hookah and tapas.
Hookah Cru will offer a special of $2 beers. Drinks, tapas and hookah will be available for purchase. Parking is available on the first two floors of the parking garage (the entrance to the garage is on the left after you pass the restaurant).
In the meantime, follow us in the twittersphere, like us on Facebook, and check out our website (complete with a blog). We’d be tickled pink if you want us to publicize an event or publish your post – just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Heck, we’d love it if you drop us a line just to say Hello!
We hope you can make it!
