About this event

FREE Institute of Physics GENERAL PUBLIC talks across the UK London and Southeast (LSE) region in spring / summer 2025.

A talk in collaboration with the IoP Atomic and Molecular Interactions Group

Speaker: Kathryn Khatry, National Physical Laboratory

Abstract: Our ability to manipulate atoms and measure their quantum state underpins modern physics. Atomic clocks have revolutionised timing and form some of the most precise measurement devices available today. Join us for an introduction on the importance, diversity and power of the interaction between matter and electromagnetic waves.
