ATOMIC FAMILY by Ciera Horton McElroy -- Book Event
Come join us for a special in-person event celebrating the paperback release of ATOMIC FAMILY by author Ciera Horton McElroy! Meet the author, get your book signed, and mingle with other book lovers. Books will be made available for sale by The Pendleton Bookshop.
Though ATOMIC FAMILY is a work of fiction, the story is heavily inspired by real events and people.
Henry Horton, Jr - from Pendleton and a Clemson graduate 1944 - was a chief agronomist, responsible for disposing nuclear waste at the Savannah River Plant - "The Bomb Plant" - in Aiken, SC.
His work was top secret: his wife and son knew nothing about his other life.
Along with now declassified data of Horton's work, the plot is built on a family grounded in secrecy. And the tragic consequences of that reality.
Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to dive into the world of ATOMIC FAMILY and hear firsthand from the writer behind it all.
Mark your calendars and spread the word - this is an event you won't want to miss!
Special thanks to The Pendleton Bookshop and The Pendleton Farmers Society.
