What do we mean by ‘attachment’?

Who should attend?

This course is for practitioners working with children 0-5 years, who have an interest in the area of Attachment

Length of training - 3 hours

Attachment is about the early relationships between a baby/ toddler and their main carer.

  • Who comes when the baby cries?

  • Who comes to play with the baby?

The baby builds a relationship with a primary attachment figure, but can have secondary attachments with other adults

Aims of training:

- Why attachment is important

- What impact does attachment have on development

- How you ( as practitioners) can help children in your care, and their families

- Benefits of attending:

To find out more about and explore the area of attachment , and the implications for you in your work with young children and their families
