Event description

Description

This is an attachment-based play course, that develops our right-brain potential for play and stories. Whereas our left-brain supports our logic, numeracy and literacy, our right brain stimulates our magical worlds of ‘let’s pretend’, taking us on a myriad of dances, images and pictures. Often too much emphasis is placed on rote and factual learning at the expense of the curiosity and experiment that is encouraged by our right hemisphere. It is this exploration that enables problem-solving, discovery and research.

We shall discover creative ideas that we didn’t know we had, and sample delights that fly with our imagination. The underlying theory is the established embodiment-projection-role paradigm (EPR), which focuses on the first seven years of child development and the parallel play stages. EPR is taken to new heights through attachment based playfulness which enables us to discover new images and stories to take away and treasure.

Fee: £75 (including coffee, tea, water)

Art materials are provided but please bring an A4 book with lined and blank pages.

There is an excellent café at the venue for lunch and snacks.
