Run by the Mulberry Bush Outreach team this 3 part course will develop your understanding of Attachment Informed Practice.

What is Attachment Theory and how might this affect the children I work with? How do early experiences of attachment relationships impact brain development?

Please join us on our full course about Attachment Informed Practice to develop your understanding.

The training will be delivered in three, two hour slots on the following dates and times:

Session 1 – 04/02/21

Session 2 - 11/02/21

Session 3 – 25/02/21

This event will be split into three sessions:

Session One : The Theory of Attachment – to understand the theoretical origins of attachment theory and to briefly introduce the four main attachment styles.

Session Two: The Impact of Adversity on Attachment – to highlight the importance of early relationships and brain development.

Session Three: Attachment in Schools – to consider the relevance of attachment theory on children’s learning, behaviour and relationships in school and to consider the importance of a secure base and how this is achieved within your organisation.
