The British Dietetic Association (BDA) is the professional association and trade union for UK dietitians.

Welcome to our latest event, organised by BDA Yorkshire Branch - winnders of BDA Branch of the Year 2017 This event is taking place on Saturday 14th October 2017, where we will be looking at the role of nutrition in the management of mental health.


Speaker highlights include:

  • Understanding the current evidence regarding nutrition and dementia
  • The practicalities of supporting people with dementia to eat well
  • Eating disorders spectrum
  • Understanding and managing eating disorders
  • Managing refeeding and risks in eating disorders
  • Diagnosing EDs and the transdiagnostic approach
  • The role of the Prescribing Support Dietitian working in a CCG
  • Importance of interfacing with other Dietitians
  • Supplementary prescribing for Dietitians

Who is this event suitable for?

Our events are also suitable for dietitians, nutritionists, other practitioners, scholars and students with an interest in nutrition and public health in Yorkshire and surrounding areas.


Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

You must provide proof of your BDA membership status, this can be done with either official BDA correspondence or by bringing your registration card.

If you purchase the ticket as a non-BDA full time student, you must provide your University Student ID. Failure to do this may mean you will need to pay non-member fees to enter the event. No refunds can be given if false member status is provided.

Tickets purchased are for individual use only.

Will there be photography or filming taking place at the event?

Yes there will be both; if you do not want to be captured on film please make this known during registration.

What are my transport / parking options getting to the event?

What if I need to cancel?

If you require a refund please contact us by email no later than Saturday 30th September 2017.

Do you have group booking discount?

We do not offer group discount. However, you could save more Eventbrite booking fees by booking the tickets as a group of 10 and above. Please contact the Branch by email (yorkshirebranch@bda.uk.com) if you wish to make a group booking.
