About this event
Join us from 12-2pm on Thursday 20 January 2022 online for the latest LBV monthly event.
Leicester and Leicestershire is blessed with three top class universities (University of Leicester, Loughborough University and De Montfort University) who collectively educate about 63,000 students (undergraduates, postgraduates and postdocs) from all over the world in disciplines from Computing to Data Science (AI/Machine Learning) to Engineering, Physics, Life Sciences, Health, Chemistry and Business Management, Economics, Law.
LBV's January event, ’Attract, Train and Retain Graduates’ (a hybrid event, both online and in person), will showcase the opportunities and benefits to business of attracting, training and retaining the thousands of talented graduates looking for meaningful work experience via placement, internship and employment opportunities from our three local universities.
Leicester and Leicestershire businesses are retaining a small percentage of these talented graduates but we could, and need to, retain so many more to fill the knowledge and skills gap.
At the event, Mattioli Woods and CITE, two local companies, will provide an overview of their successful graduate programmes and speakers from the universities will introduce current student and graduate opportunities including funded support for businesses. Delegates will also have an opportunity to meet at least 15 graduates looking for employment opportunities to facilitate greater graduate attraction and retention.
