Andrew Masters is a Partner and Head of Furley Page’s Employment Team.

He advises on all aspects of employment law and related HR issues, contentious and non-contentious. In addition to complex, strategic and high value employment matters, including discrimination, employment disputes with directors and senior employees, large scale TUPE, redundancy and restructuring exercises, he frequently advises employers on day to day HR and employment law issues such as absence and performance management, disciplinary and grievance situations and dismissals. Over the past few years he has established a strong reputation for advising employers at an early stage to prevent unnecessary and costly disputes.

Andrew is an experienced speaker and trainer in employment law. He regularly presents at HR forums and business conferences and provides training for HR personnel and line managers. Andrew has written a number of widely published articles and papers on employment law and HR related matters.

Andrew holds the Certificate of Training as an Accredited Mediator with The London School of Mediation.

He was appointed lead judge in 2017, 2018 and 2019 for the prestigious KEiBA ‘Employer of the Year’ category.

He is has been highly ranked in recent editions of Chambers UK and Legal 500 Guides, which are authoritative guides to lawyers and law firms.

Amanda Okill is a senior associate specialising in employment law and related HR issues.

She works with a diverse client base including national and international businesses, local and national charities. She represents a number of senior employees from a variety of sectors including teaching, medical and the state sector. Her litigation experience extends to cases of unfair and constructive dismissal, discrimination and disputes on employment status.

Amanda is recognised in the current edition of Chambers UK legal as a leading individual in employment law.

Amanda is an experienced lecturer in employment law and presents training seminars at HR Forums, business forums and in-house training to staff on topics such as treatment of others, investigations, and promoting positive mental health at work. She has published articles on topical issues of employment law and on her particular interest in the field of discrimination and on promoting a diverse and positive workplace.

Amanda is a member of the CIPD and holds a certificate in human resources. She recently trained as a mental health first aider.

Outside the office, Amanda is a Trustee of First Step Trust, a national charity providing work and training for people with mental health problems and other disadvantages.
