Event description

Description

Understand what it takes to attract the next generation of candidates. Join us for an interactive facilitated training workshop with employers and young adults learning from each other.

Are you struggling to recruit?

In the latest Quarterly Recruitment Outlook report by the British Chamber of Commerce, 54% of employers attempted to recruit and of these employers, 73% said they had experienced difficulties in recruiting.

Do you want to know what it takes to attract talent?

Join Access Generation CIC for this half-day training workshop and learn from the experience and insights gained from their research with over 200 young people and assessment of 600 employer websites.

You will find out what it takes to meet young people’s expectations, their criteria for choosing an employer and how to compete for talent in a tight labour market.

It’s no longer the employer assessing the candidates, the candidates are now assessing you as an employer. Will you meet their expectations?

Young people want to work for an employer that embraces diversity and inclusion. 95% of employers do not address the topic of diversity and inclusion in their recruitment in any way. To find out how you can meet young people’s criteria and get your employer value proposition right join us for the training workshop.

This training workshop will include guided activities and conversations with young adults and employers. There will be refreshments throughout and pastries during registration and networking.

Workshop outcomes

Understand the key messages you need to attract the right candidates and learn how to reduce the cost of recruitment by creating your own pool of people.

This interactive half-day workshop will allow you to network with peers and hear directly from young people about their experiences and expectations of the job application process.

Who should attend

This training workshop is suitable for anyone interested in attracting talent, employer value propositions including, but not limited to, hiring managers, HR, marketing professionals and operational and senior leaders.

About the Work Live Leicestershire (WiLL) project

As a social enterprise, we want to help support businesses to understand what it takes to attract the next generation and become employers of choice. Some of our training workshops are free thanks to partners, sponsors and projects we are supported by.

This workshop is being delivered as part of the Work Live Leicestershire (WiLL) project.

The WiLL project, which is being led by sight-loss charity, Vista, and funded by European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund, aims to get 500 people into work, training or learning opportunities in rural areas. Access Generation's role within this project is to engage with employers on the topic.

R.E.A.L Education

R.E.A.L. is an acronym for Re-thinking, Engagement and Approaches to Learning. R.E.A.L. was established in 2008 to provide creative educational solutions for children and young people, between the ages of 5 and 19, who may be “lost to learning” or “hard to place”.

A big thank you to R.E.A.L. for providing us with a venue to host this training workshop. We're looking forward to seeing their new Hinckley school.
