Event description
Join the Mistress of Line as she leads you on a guided tour, discovering the early years of Brighton-born artist Aubrey Beardsley.

About this Event

Alexia Lazou, Mistress of Line, will lead you on a gentle 90 minute stroll through Brighton, exploring the buildings and places associated with the early life of artist Aubrey Beardsley (1872-1898), famous for his innovative black and white illustrations.

Beardsley was known as the Master of Line, famous for the fine 'threads' which flowed through his drawings. You will be invited to follow Beardsley's line around the streets of Brighton, helping to keep you at a safe distance from your fellow walkers. The tour will conclude with an optional visit to The Yellow Book café/bar, York Place, opposite St. Peter's church.
