For London Met Staff Only

This 1hr (+ optional 30 mins for Q/A) session will introduce staff to the latest web-based and free to use Audience Response Tools and will provide an opportunity to try out: Nearpod, MeeToo, Office Mix, Kahoot, Socrative and Padlet.

Audience Response apps allow students to engaged and enjoy learning as they:
- participate interactively in learning activities,
- express their own views and ideas without peer pressure
- explore and reflect on alternative ideas and develop their own line of critical reasoning and
- sharpen their Higher Order Thinking Skills and especially the ability to evaluate, self-reflect
and finally accept and creatively assimilate formative feedback.

For academics, Audience Response solutions provide the means to:
- anchor and initiate meaningful discussions and other active engagement learning activities,
- control and maintain effective and appropriate paces of learning, and to
- obtain formative assessment for optimised learning paths

Participants will have the opportunity to take part using the pcs in the room and/or their own laptops, tablets and even their smartphones to engage with the content.
